The theme of the Maker Carnival was “Innovation, Creativity and Wisdom Life”, which was divided into three projects: 3D printing, smart creativity and robot competition. The reporter saw on the scene that primary school students from nearly 30 schools in the Central District were working on a 3D print pen. The 3D printing pen has a 3D printing function as its name implies. It uses PLA, ABS plastic, can be "written" on any surface, and can even be painted directly in the air. According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Education Bureau, in September 2015, the district established the first national and county-level school-based student education alliance, and in November of that year, the first guest festival was held. After a year of development, there are currently nearly 30 schools that have launched maker education related to 3D printing.

It is understood that in Central District, more than 10 primary and secondary school students have already built a guest space. The maker education based on 3D printing has gradually gained popularity in urban schools, and Jinan Yuxiu Middle School has also sent 3D printing courses to formal schedules. “Creating guest activities is an important approach to innovation and fostering innovation capabilities.
